Big Dub Festival 2016

Big Dub is a music and arts festival held every summer in Artemis, Pennsylvania. I wrote a grant proposal to receive funding for one installation design: A coral garden. My vision was to bring a visually stimulating psychedelic seascape and ocean floor to a wooded mountain. It came to fruition in the form of PVC pipe insulation, tension wire, spray foam sealant, spray paint and additional upcycled materials.

Through the use of my own funds and initiative, I created 12' tall , illuminated, 'floating' jellyfish using PVC pipes, children's umbrellas, LED lights, colored trashbags and plastic drop cloth. In addition, I created a backdrop of larger-than-life sea creatures and a vibrant kelp forest using cardboard and paint.
